The error
A true number, told misleadingly
Fifty kilobytes of SRAM is correct and measured. Quoted alone it implies the engine needs fifty kilobytes of memory, which is false: it also needs a memory-mapped index region, and on a target without one the figure is meaningless.
No individual statement was untrue. The omission did the work, which is the harder kind of overclaim to catch because nothing in it can be pointed at and called wrong.

The qualifier now travels with the number in every context including slides, and the site enforces it by carrying the full form in the label rather than in a footnote beneath it.
Why this is a correction and not an edit
Nobody demanded it and no customer noticed. Recording it anyway is the only version of the corrections invariant that means anything.
